Notes: If possible, the teacher should have the media center specialist discuss appropriate use of technology including copyright infringement and the penalties associated with this violation at an earlier time. If he/she has a handout they use with the grade-level, have several available for students to reference as they complete their projects.
MONITOR
Ongoing Assessment: The teacher should continue to ask probing questions to assess the students’ understanding of the key concepts of the lesson.
Accommodations and Extensions: Students may be asked to complete sections of the presentation (script, downloading appropriate images, purchasing music to use, etc.) at home and upload onto the wiki or docs.google.com to access at school. Time limits should be provided to students to ensure they are able to complete the project in class. For instance, the video or presentation should not be longer than 5 minutes.
Back-up Plan: If the labs cannot be reserved, the teacher should consider reserving laptops for the class. Additionally, students may complete parts of the project at home.
EVALUATION
Lesson Plan Reflections and Notes: Because of the sensitivity of the recording software on PCs, the recordings should be completed at home. If time permits, include an additional day for group presentations.
